I believe that the attached photo is of a moth called The Suspected (Parastichtis suspecta) would you either confirm or correct my identification please.
The Moth was found in at the margins of wet woodlands at Potteric Carr nr Doncaster in South Yorkshire Sunday 06/07/14.
To be fair I've not seen this moth live, but looking I'd say your on the right track. I'm sure someone with more experience can confirm further.
I concur with Crystal and yourself - it is Parastichtis suspecta.

Its relative the dingy shears (Parastichtis ypsillon) has a partial row of dark triangularish marks towards the outer edge of the forewing, as seen in both the specimens here
Despite P. suspecta being variable, it never seems to have those marks, as shown by the many examples here
