What's this please

What is this 1.jpg

This plant appeared in our large seaside garden. There are 3 stems about 3 or 4 ft tall. There are whorls of long leaves about 3 inches long with a white stripe down the middle. I think it might belong to the Euphorbias..... Would really appreciate the help. Thanks - Dutch

    Hi Dutch,

I am pretty sure this is the Caper Spurge - Euphorbia lathyris. A lovely plant and well worth keeping if you don't mind where it is and you don't have small children - the sap can cause irritation and inflamation of the skin.

    Cheers,

    Jen
