What is this beetle ?

Found this beetle today wandering in my house beautifully marked green in colour very unusual can anyone tell me what species it is . Thanks

    This is shield bug - one of a group of bugs characterised by their general shape.  It belongs to the order Hemiptera -  the true bugs, as distinct from anything else we casually call bugs. Although beetle-like, bugs are a distinct and large group, all characterised by having a piercing beak-like mouthpart, rather than jaws common to beetles. I'm not quite certain, but yours looks like it's a Hawthorn Shieldbug.
