Solitary bees

You might be interested in these two short videos which I shot in my garden at Five Oak Green, Kent, yesterday. They show Heriades Truncorum emerging from my bee posts, to begin their short and busy lives. There are two different faces, which I take to be male and female, my problem being that I do not know which is which. I believe these are quite scarce little bees and I feel very privileged to have them, this being the third successive year. Just an old piece of wood with various sizes of holes drilled has given me so much pleasure. If anyone would like to come along to see them I would be happy to see you. Email me at my username to make an arrangement.
