Walton Find, Whale Bone?

First find of 3 unidentified from a great day fossiling with friends yesterday at Walton on the Naze.

Found a few items of this material with a linear texture. Its very dense and has a waxy feel to the touch.

I'm suspecting its a piece of whale bone, possibly rib. We found a much larger piece around 150cm long and thicker with a lighter colour.
