Please help. We have found these little bugs in our bathroom last week, since then we have discovered an abundance of them on our outside walls and around the guttering etc. please can someone say what they are and how to deal with them?
I think they may be dock bugs, Coreus marginatus.
By virtue of their narrow 'shoulders', they are nymphs not adults.
If you look at the photos here, bypass all the ones captioned 'adult'
There are similar-looking relatives, however, eg. Syromastus rhombeus.
With all of them, I would be a bit surprised to see nymphs this time of year (assuming you are in the UK), so I am not confident of my ID. Somebody else may correct me.
They are harmless to people. I suggest you ignore them, if you can.
They are bugs, but to me they look more like aphids (family Aphididae), possibly Cinara sp.
Any conifer trees nearby?
