Hi can anyone tell me what this little guy is? After doing some research the closest i found was a bee beetle but it just doesn't look like the right one, the antennae are shorter on the bee beetle. Many Thanks
This is a Judolia cerambyciformis, a longhornbeetle (Cerambycidae).
It's true that the antennae are longer than the bee beetle, a simple way to identify a longhornbeetle is the long antennaes.
Thanks very much for that, i continued to look and found the spotted longhorn which looked similar but your identification is spot on, thanks :)
