Is this a fossil fragment?

Hi

Found this on the beach near Hornsea. Resembles part of a belemnite with a hard surface? Is is a fossil fragment?

Regards

    Hi wolvesjeff, nice find.

It looks to be one of the bigger fossils you find from the pyrite/black sand on the Holderness.

It is a partial Phragmocone (part of a belemnite) usually they have suffered some trauma during fossilisation and later but this specimen looks to be in decent condition although it has a little wear because of the conditions on the beach.

I have attached the image of a Lower Jurassic belemnite next to an ammonite found on the Holderness for reference, I hope it's ok.
