Strange Arthropod spotted in Scotland. Identification help please.

Hi All,

On the attached photo you'll be able to see a lovely Lichen example (what I was taking a photo of actually). However, some horrible creature invaded my shot. I didn't actually spot the thing untill I was reviewing my photos so I didn't get a chance to actually look at it.

It seems to have 2 eyes and only one body segment. 8 legs and 2 front feelers and what appears to be fangs (this part seems pretty spidery to me).

It was taken in Threve Garden in Dumfries and Galloway on a very cold but sunny winters day. The Lichen is about 7cm in diameter.

I haven't really got any idea where to start with researching what it is so ive turned to the experts.

Has anyone any idea?
