There are quite a few of these around in my east London garden, they seem to like living in log piles, in between fence panels and dark corners in the shed.
The webs are a bit candyfloss-like, not like a gardens spider's web & they have lots of eggs!
is it poisonous? Its unusual, I've never seen anything like it in the UK before
This would appear to be a lace weaver (possibly Amaurobius ferox), a native species. They have been known to bite occasionally, but not with any serious or long lasting symptoms.
The brown Amaurobius species (A. similis, A. fenestralis) are also very common around the exterior of houses.
