Looking to I.d this spider

Hi there, not sure if I'm posting this in the right place  I'm looking to I.d this spider, I saw loads of them on my fence last year and a few this year again, I live near GLASGOW in scotland  and i'm just curious to find out what it is, thank you in advance.

    Hi Mallcop32,

     

    This is a walnut orb weaver (Nuctenea umbratica), a common spider but rarely seen as it hides away during the day. It is found right accross Europe & as far North as Norway & Finland. They're not always happy to be handled (but not venomous to humans), so bear that in mind.
