My father found this skull on a beach in Norfolk, myself and the rest of the science department where I work are stumped.
Des anyone know what animal this belongs to?

After a bit of further looking myself I have managed to answer my own question. I have found out it is not a skull at all, but is actually the pelvis from a gull.
What I thought to be eye sockets was in fact leg sockets. Also answers question of why there were no teeth.
Very nearly correct, it is a pelvis but not of a gull it is from a gannet.
Thanks for the correction. I have onlyj ust realised that i made people jobs more difficult as i did not include a scale in the photos. The pelvis was approximately 12-15cm long from tip to tip.
