Please help me identify this insect. I found it on the wall of a store in Laval, Québec, Canada. I've never seen something like that before ! It was pretty big compared to other insects in Quebec. When it flew, the tail seemed to drag down.
It is a male dobsonfly; one of about 35 species of Corydalus, possibly Corydalus cornutus, the eastern dobsonfly.
The large pincers show it is a male; they're used for grasping the female.
