Hi, this was found in southeastern pennsylvania, US. My son needs to know what it is!
Looking online, i am failry certain its a groundhog (aka woodchuck, or as i have heard in west virginia: whistle pig).
Would you agree?
Its got a sharp post orbital process, which seems to be squirrel-like, but at over 4 inches, i think its too big.
You have answered this identification yourself. It has got sharp post orbital processes which is a feature of Squirrels. The groundhog etc. are from the squirrel familly so it is a squirrel, a ground squirrel!
haha, didnt realize that groundhogs were ground squirels, too.
