Spider ID please

Behaving like a tube web spider, hidden in the gap between the planks of wood of this outside storage cupboard, can someone please pinpoint the name of this little beasty? Location: shoreline 'cottage' overlooking Lindisfarne in Northumberland; when: end of June 2013; orientation: south facing. I had inadvertently brushed against one of the radiating lines of silk. Luckily I had my camera to hand to snap one disappointed spider!

Thank you!

Nuctenea umbratica - the Black Orb Web spider or Walnut Orb Weaver on account of the half walnut-like pattern on the abdomen. It's an orb weaver but hides by day - in crevasses. A common and ubiquitous species, but not often noticed I guess due to it's 'hide and seek' lifestyle.
