Fossil ID

Collected at Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset. Any suggestions gratefully received

    Almost certainly an Ammonite, possibly a Dactylioceras. Try looking that up on Google images and see where you get.

    Triopsking is 'spot on' with an ammonite I,D but I don't think it is a Dactylioceras coming from the area you found the specimen.

    It looks like it has 'popped' off a larger piece of matrix,  similar to the ones I have pictured bellow.
