I found this little fellow crawling across my foot earlier today.
Can anybody tell me what kind of spider it is?
I have not seen one like it before.
Any help appreciated.
Oh, and it is 10mm long (not including it's legs).
Dysdera crocata, the woodlouse spider. Probably a jeuvenile. They don't fare well in dry/indoor environments & will be happier outside amongst some damp, rotting wood/anywhere with a good supply of woodlice.
Thank you for your help.
It's a good job I put it where it'd be happy then.
