We noticed this green bug outside our school today. We have no idea what it is but we'd like to know. We're in Hertfordshire if that helps at all. Thanks!
I'll have a punt - it might be a shieldbug (but difficult for my inexpert eye to say without seeing it from above). If it is, it's possibly a hawthorn or birch shieldbug on the basis of the red corner at the top of the shield?
Hmmm, tricky, but Jonathan offers the two options - I would lean towards Hawthorn Shieldbug, Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale.
