Could someone give me an ID for this lovely flower please. Not sure if its a wild flower or not.
It is lovely, but it is not a native wild flower.
It is a Doronicum.
It looks like D. orientale
However, if you took the photograph very recently, I am just a bit suspicious - they usually flower in April-May in the UK.
There are quite a few species of Doronicum, and I don't know of a key to help us pick the right one reliably.
'Reliably' is made tricker by the number of cultivars (based on selections from within species as well as from hybrids). I hope 'Doronicum' alone will be good enough for you!
Thanks Mike. That'll do nicely. Pic taken today.
The BSBI reports these Doronicum taxa as escapes in Britain
Yours might be one of those, but all sorts are grown in gardens, hence could arise as escapes.
