This tree, which according to its owner is a cedar, is growing in Valencia, Spain. It wasn't expected to root here - its seeds were brought from Austria, and its owner was told that there had been several attempts to plant new trees from its seeds in the area, everyone of them being a failure.
Its leaves are cypress-like, not pinaceae-like.
well I'm pretty certain its not a Cedar (Cedrus species) but without a nice close up picture of the foliage and/or cones I wouldn't like to guess at what it actually is! Any chance you could get them?
Thanks for your answer, I am sorry that I haven't been able to get more pictures yet, but I hope in a few days I will have some of the cones and foliage. As soon as I achieve them I'll show them here.
I'm very sorry for the delay, but today finally my friend could take some photos of the tree which now I think might be a Cupressus Arizonica. But still I'm not sure...
Many thanks in advance,
