Why do you think dinosaurs have become extinct?

I have been reading a book recently by a scientist at the science museum, he stated multiple reasons why they may have become extinct but why do you think.

All answers will be welcomed however...wild,

Thank you for taking your time to read this post

I think it is from a chain of events starting with a meterorite hitting the earth which led to an earthquake which led to volcanic eruptions and tsunamis which led to...

Of course they didn't get completely wiped-out there is the chicken which is the closest creature related to the dinosaur. As well as that there were ancient  animals that lived in the time of the dinosaur. Why the dinosaurs were wiped-out and not the other creatures is probably because they were better at adapting to the harsh conditions.

Here is a photo of what the "end of the world for dinosaurs" may have looked like...

    • I wrote a poem about the extinction, like the one about the animals going into the ark. Hope you like it.

      The Passing of the Dinosaurs

Ceratosaurs went out two by two. Hurrah! Hurrah!

Ceratosaurs went out two by two. Hurrah! Hurrah!

                Coelophysis, the carnivore -

His powerful bite delivered a sore,

And they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.

Tetanurae went in pairs as well. Ta-ta! So long!

Tetanurae went in pairs as well. Ta-ta! So long!

                Allosaurus, with very strong legs,

Two pointy horns on top of his head

But they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.

The Sauropods went out two by two. Oh dear! Oh dear!

The Sauropods went out two by two. Oh dear! Oh dear!

                Apatosaurus, a big herbivore,

Travelled hundreds of miles and maybe more.

But they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.

Pachycephalosaurs left two by two. Adieu! Farewell!

Pachycephalosaurs left two by two. Adieu! Farewell!

With their funny habits and dome-shaped skull

A head-butting life was never dull,

But they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.

Ceratopia karked it two by two so rest in peace!

Ceratopia karked it two by two so rest in peace!

Triceratops grew to weigh ten tonnes

And made a ring to protect their young,

But they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.

Ornithopods went two by two, and that’s too bad!

Ornithopods went two by two, and that’s too bad!

                Three-toed Hadrosaurs were the best

with their duck-billed face and their funny crest,

But they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.

The Stegosaurs snuffed it two by two. Auf wiedersehen!

The Stegosaurs snuffed it two by two. Auf wiedersehen!

With his spiky tail and his pea-sized brain

His Jurassic mates found him quite a pain,

And they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.

Ankylosaurs died two by two. They won’t be missed!

Ankylosaurs died two by two. They won’t be missed!

The club on its tail was a metre wide,

They would swing this flail from side to side,

And they all went off at the K-T Extinction Event.
