I have posted this on a couple of gardening forums without success. I thought I would try here, this is proving to be more difficult than I thought.
My runner beans are covered in these black bugs. Any help in identifying them would be appreciated.
The sheild bug has been suggested but I'm not convinced.
Any help would be appreciated.
Yes, definitely shield bug, but possibly looking 'wrong' to you because they are all nymphs.
You should be able to find them somewhere on this page
Thanks Mike, I had previously looked at that page but not found it exactly, but you must be right. I have never seen them in such numbers before.
I now need to see how much damage they will do.
