Now, I don't know if this is in fact the 374th bone identification request, but it's worth a try as a simple guess. As you may have gathered, I have a bone to pick with whoever may be reading this. All puns aside, I need a bone identified. It was found about a year ago on a beach on Isle of Plams off the coast of South Carolina. I misplaced it when I first found it, and it only turned up again about a day or two ago. I would love to know what it is, as no local searches of aquariums or the like have turned up anything.
It looks almost like a skull to me, or part of one. Having been found on the beach, one could come to the understandable conclusion that the bone is from a fish, but I honestly have no idea what fish it may have originated from. Any help on this issue would be appreciated, as so far, I've had no luck.
