Hairless tube mouse

Tube driver here

I've seen tens of thousands of mice, all of them adorable.

But on the 7th August at Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo Line southbound) saw something I've never seen before: a pink hairless mouse, not a juvenile.

Wondering if this is a mutation caused by inbreeding - the tube mice have a restricted range, they rarely stray far.

I'm afraid it will be a victim to the poison which is liberally scattered, what a shame.

Had this been documented previously?
