Is this a Douglas Fir Tussock Moth Caterpillar?

10513495_828616920489963_5291541619371306125_n[1].jpgI found this caterpillar climbing my daughter's trampoline pole today.  We have a large eucalyptus tree above the trampoline and our neighbour's fir tree (of some kind) overhangs our garden.  The only caterpillar I have found which looks like it is a Douglas Fir Tussock Moth Caterpillar, but info states they are found in N America and British Columbia.  Please could you identify this for me?  Many thanks10525826_828616893823299_2123562080903075976_n[1].jpg
