I thought this was some fluff on my chair - went to pick it up and the 'fluff' moved, and reared up at me!
I'm normally not bothered about spiders and will normally capture them and put them outside. But then I noticed the skull-like markings on its abdomen, and went online to identify it. Slightly freaked over false widow reports and the danger they can present - especially as I nearly sat on this one.
Looking at numerous spider pics - I think it could be a false widow species (Steatoda nobilis) or a missing sector orb weaver.
But would really appreciate an expert opinion for peace of mind.
