Found this under pre 1800's foundations, Fossil?

Im new to this so ill just go straight ahead and ask.

Ive been diging up what i thought was a patio in my garden and it turns out its actually the floor of an old cottage that used to be here! i know the cottage existed in the late 1800s due to ordinance survey maps.

When removing the "patio" i dug this up;

Its about the same size as a standard chickens egg, hard as stone, relitivley smooth and really cold.

I live in an old farming village in north lincolnshire, there has been evidence found that humans have had a settlement here since the bronze age aparently.

Any insights or help would be terriffic!

Thank you
