I have found today many types of shiny black rock some with significant marks on them. Do anyone know what they can be?
Welcome to Nature Plus
It looks like you have found one of those shapes that nature throws up made of Flint.
I come across them regularly on the Holderness coast and you would not believe the shapes that are formed in the chalk by flint.
Spotted this flint the other day on the Holderness coast, it's still there but I took an image of it.
Hi thanks for replying.
Inside its like glass and its heavier than a usual rock. I tried to burn it and it wont melt nothing happens.
Can it still be a flint?
