I am in Wiltshire and there was a large meteor oven the West Country on Monday night.
Yesterday I found this on the edge of my lawn.
It is very dense, weighs 76g and is covered in what looks like glitter. There is some 'glitter' inside too.
Is it a meteorite ?
The glittery minerals look like mica, and it looks pretty terrestrial to me.
I see no hints of meteorite - no fusion crust, regmaglypts, etc.
If you like we can check the density, but I suspect it will be less than you imagine.
Immerse it in water and measure the volume displaced (in ml), the do the division.
