Mystery invasive plant in Suffolk park

Attached are some pictures of a plant which is spreading in Nowton Park in Suffolk. As yet, there are no signs of any flowers or fruits. The leaves seem wrong for any knotweed and the stem is roughly hexagonal, which rules out figwort. It's not himalayan balsam, but perhaps some other balsam? Some have now reached 6ft tall.

Any help greatly appreciated since we have so far drawn a blank.
