Unidentified microscopic object

Recently, I prepared a microscope slide from the surface of a Geum urbanum (Wood Avens) leaf, and I noticed a peculiar structure at X 400 magnification amongst some fungal material. I attach a photograph of this (apologies for the poor quality), and hope that you may be able to shed some light on the matter, or perhaps point me in the right direction in literature? I have no idea what it is, but others have suggested it could be part of an invertebrate (e.g. something that uses Geum as its host plant perhaps?). Thanks.
