I've been struggling with these two bugs for weeks. Enlisted the help of colleagues but we are all dumbfounded! The closest we got was to think one was a long horn beetle?! Anyway if anyone can help id appreciate it.
the first one is a click beetle, family Elateridae. I am pretty convinced from your photo that it is Prosternum tesselatum. Check this out:
The second and third one is a nymph of a shield bug, order Heteroptera, family Pentatomidae. Species? Not sure.
Second picture is a late instar larva of a Forest Bug (Pentatoma rufipes). They feed on oak, alder, apple & cherry trees.
