Can anyone identify this bone for me? Found this on the beach. See attached photos. Thank you.
This is the proximal phalanx of an even toed ungulate; a toe bone from a cloven hoofed animal. The size is not obvious from the photographs but I suspect it is from a cow, here is a link to a photo on Nottingham Vet School Flickr account:-
