This fell out of a tree two days ago in Berwickshire. It's about 10 mm long. I can't identify it as either a jewel or a flower beetle. It has very strange feet too !
ID would be appreciated !
It's one of the Phyllobius weevils, very common this time of year. Probably argentatus.
It´s a Weevil
I´m quite sure it´s a Phyllobius sp. as the position of the antennal insertion on the head is visible from above, if I have understand correct. If you search on "Phyllobius" you will probably find out a similar one.
Thank you - that is it !
