Help Please... What on earth is this from???...

I found this on my patio in spain... Obviosly (i think) part of a jaw... the teeth are very very sharp...  looks like a bottom part of a jaw maybe..

The jaw bone is blue, with 2 teeth sticking forward on the end, the rest out of each side, the hard casing (the other part) had a redish gungy fluid in it, although the outer casing is hard. The "jaw bone " is a blueish colour.

Total length is about 20mm..

We have a lot of birds nesting at the moment, so i though maybe it was the remains of something they had eaten?

Suggestion....  part of a praying mantis leg?

Any ideas?

I'd say it's the rear leg of a grasshopper or locust, though I couldn't say which species.

I'm not sure what the spines on the tibia are for; I always thought that it is projections on the femur that are involved in the noise they make. Hopefully someone can illuminate us.
