I've found two bones in some woodland. The bones were buried under a tree (which is reasonably large and was uprooted in the storms).
The rib looks to have gnaw marks on both sides at the end.
The other bone interestingly has a relatively deep visible cut mark (0.5mm) and two of the edges are very straight, which makes me think they were cut.
I'd be interested in hearing which animal you think these bones come from and anything else you might be able to tell me.
Hi, it's difficult to determine the exact species from these photos. Many of the identifying features have been cut off. They could possibly be pig - they don't look large enough for cow or small enough for sheep/deer. Definitely not human though
