unidentified plant.

Can anyone say what this plant is. It grew on waste dry ground by a wall near houses on a track near Henley on Thames.

Presumably it is a garden escape. It was erect, without leaves, about 20cm tall with reddish stem diam 2mm at base, 1 mm at top. Flowers pale yellow, regular, petals in 4s or 5s, free. It had 4 or 5 sepals hairy 3mm long 1mm wide, hairy. Single stigma. Many stamens. Flowering March17. See attached image
