Bird head fossil?

Hello, I have had this fossil/rock for around 20 years, I've always called it the "eagle head".. but after doing a little research I'm not sure what it is or if it is even a fossil.. So I thought I'd put up some pictures of it and see what others thought. One side is covered in white stuff but if you look through it then you can see that it looks the same as the cleaner side. Have a look..

For what it is worth I think that this may be the head of a gargoyle. The white stuff looks a bit like a repair cement which may have been used in an attempt to stick it back on. Just my thoughts.

    Hi Dan

Interesting find ! but - to me it looks like a cast, because there are too many air bubbles on the surface of your specimen.
