Im a carpenter in west wales and while opening a roof the other day this came crawling out ... can anyone identify it please?
It's a little difficult to try and identify it from this angle. I don't suppose you took other photos or still have the specimen?
That being said, it's shape looks like we may be able to narrow it down to the Theridiidae family. How big was it roughly?
A good place to start may be by having a look at pictures of Steatoda Grossa - and see if that seems like a good fit to you.
