I took these photos of a dead frog that had just been taken out of Haggerston Park pond (Hackney, London).I have never seen anything like it before - in the UK or abroad.
The lady who took it out of the pond said she was a biologist and took it home to identify it.
Is the blue colour on its back a sign of decay or it's natural colouration? The pond was well populated with what I think were common frogs and their spawn.
I'm no expert on exotic frogs but going by the appearance I'm wondering whether it's a species of Horned Frog that has seen better days:
