Strange Bone found on Llandudno Beach.

Hello all, we went walking this morning and found this on the beach, we have no idea what it is from, my husband seems to think it may be a part of a seal or similar, I am leaning towards part of a skull, but, as I am no expert...I am probably completely wrong! any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.I can also say that although it may look like wood, it isn't!
