Hi,i found this "horsefly"?, i want knew about this kind of insect..., he was about 19 mm (very close to 3/4 inch) tip to toe and was found in a local park (caña hueca park in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, México).....
It doesn't have the mouthparts for a robberfly. I'm reasonably certain this is some species of botfly (family: Oestridae).
