Hello! New to this.
Over the last couple of weeks these weird flying insects have been in the bathroom and around the cereals boxes!
What the hell are they?
Any help much appreciated
They look like the (very variable) garden rose tortrix, Acleris variegana;
but the flight period is wrong
But I am sure it is Indian meal moth, Plodia interpunctella.
The description here tells about their connection with cereals
The photo here is more comparable with yours
Various web sites state that all stages of this insect may be found year-round in indoor situations, eg.
And various images there fit well with yours.
I've improved your images as best I can, as below.
Thank you so much! I'm 95% certain it's the Indian food moth.
Just did some research on products and purchased a 1ltr spray and traps... My instinct tells me they came in the muesli box from the supermarket!
