Just wondering if this is a fossil I found on the coast today. Is quite small about a thumb nail size. Any ideas? Thanks guys.
The last photo is just of the other beauties I found today.
left: unknown rock with irreular vein of (probably) quartz
top left: probably a thin piece of limestone with a vein of quartz or calcite, forming the main surface shown
top right: lava - yes, could be, but it could also be just a pebble of limestone that has had recent borings by marine organisms of one sort or another (eg. gastropods)
bottom: part of a vein, looks like quartz
right: piece of limestone, with what might be a coral
Wow - some very nice finds, to me the best one is the red stone with quartz crystals inside, looks water worn and could have been a geode.
Keep an eye out for some full one's it's very unusual.
