Trigonocarpus nut imprint?

I found this in Ossett, West Yorkshire, UK and it is carboniferous in age.  Is it a trigonocarpus nut?

I don't think so; not curved enough in 3D. The hole may have been where a piece of wood fell out (and perhaps subsequently eroded, eliminating detail). I suspect that because it looks somewhat like a mould of wood on the right-hand side (the long flat bit with longitudinal striations).
