Can someone help identify the following tree please? I'm attaching a picture of the tree (taken today, i.e. in late November) and of one of its leaves. Is it some sort of acer, and if so, any idea which one?
This could be an Acer Palmatum. Hope this is of some help.
There are a large number of cultivars, selected for such characters as shape of leaf, colouring, size, and habit.
Yours looks like a fairly straightforward Acer palmatum (they can grow much bigger than many people expect).
Thanks for the replies and I'll mark this thread as answered.
