Looks like the remnants of an egg sack and a small spider, but it is not clear from this image whether it is dead or alive. Despite the recent media story where Brazilian Wandering spiders were allegedly identified the reality is that it could be an egg sack if so many 100's of spider species and virtually all of them harmless.
The mortality of spiderlings is massive and they need to find suitably prey very quickly, difficult enough in their natural environment but just about impossible in an unnatural environment like your home. The reality is that the risk of this/these in your home is zero.
No need for any fumigation or insecticides. If you feel you need to be over cautious then freeze the banana and egg sack for 24 hours before you put it in the bin, or better still the compost.
Is there any chance you could identify these sacks/ eggs ?
I can assure you when the pics were taken the spider that is clearly visible in one of the pics if you zoom in was very much alive and moving around. I've been told a few things about what they could be but I wanted to get a few responses from ppl that know about these things without me sayin what I've been told they are as I've been given conflicting theories as to what they are and what they aren't.
Thanks again for taking time to view and respond .
