Just got home and seen 3 strange fruits that someone left on top of my garage outside door wall.
I live in Portugal and I never saw these fruits before, nor did my wife, so we are kind of puzzled by what this is:
They were left on a strange position, so I am wondering is this could also have some kind of meaning, or if it was only something that someone put there for a while and forgot to pick them up?!?

I think it is chayote, Sechium edule (and many more common names in the first link below).
I am a little hesitant because that comes from central America, so I'm nore sure how well it would grow in Portugal.
As to meaning, I would think they might just be gifts from locals.

They seem to grow it also in Madeira, and Madeira is a Portuguese island.
Either that or some brazilian brought it here, there are some brasilians around here too.
