I spotted this on a website. (http://news.uk.msn.com/trending-blog/mystery-as-malaysian-angler-catches-bizarre-unknown-fish)
The fish was caught in Malaysian waters near the coastal village of Tudan Sarawak. It reminds me of a Gurnard but a more positive ID would be appreciated.
After further research, I think it might be a Skeleton Fish. Peristediidae. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My first thought was of something like a rabbitfish, or chimera, which (although it is a cartilagenous fish) is a similar shape and has the same large eyes, but I think Habdab is right.
