Yes, this is Steatoda nobilis. Males (like that pictured) tend to wander around more, put him outside. Females are less likely to leave the home comforts of a web & hiding place, so are usually less likely to come into conflict with humans. Even so, many people aren't comfortable with them indoors & they can cope fine with living outside. So long as they're not in the bedroom or bathroom, they don't bother me, but I tend to show males the door.
Neither sex is aggressive & bites are usually a result of being crushed against the skin.
